The zoo is set in natural bushland and as such we have have many beautiful green spaces where you can enjoy a picnic with your friends and family. You can choose to bring along your picnic blanket or have lunch under one of our covered areas with fixed tables and chairs (portable BBQs are not permitted onsite) Please note that one of our covered areas, the Picnic Shelter, is available for group hire at a cost and as such may be reserved for the day. Visitors are more than welcome to bring in food and drinks. Alcohol is not permitted outside of a catered event.
Our kiosk is available during zoo hours for both hot and cold food purchases as we do not allow visitors to bring in portable BBQ’s. The kiosk also provides tea and coffee as well as cold drinks, snacks and ice creams. So if you don’t feel like bringing your own lunch then you can certainly enjoy something from our menu.
Symbio is equipped with a disabled toilet which is conveniently located near the entry/exit. While we do not provide wheelchairs, walkers or prams visitors are more than welcome to bring them in. The property is on a very gentle slope and most pathways are paved. Symbio does have some gravel pathways and these are maintained daily by our team. We do suggest having an able-bodied adult accompany visitors who need a wheelchair to ensure all members of your group have an enjoyable visit to Symbio.
Finish off your day by buying something special for family and friends or perhaps just something special for yourself as a momento of your visit to Symbio. We have a great range of children’s gifts including soft toys, school stationery as well as some great gift ideas for adults.
